I’ll never forget the day we met
Back when innocence was all we knew
Those days were kind
And too fast were through
Just distant memories
But as time passed and we grew
It was always me and you
And side by side
We could never lose
Then out of nowhere
Fate turned cruel

And now I wish
You were still here
For one more sunset
To have you near
Just one night would not be cold
And filled with tears
’til the first light shone

I miss you so much and
Don’t know how to let go
And find that place
I fear I will never know
It feels lonely where I am
With days barely better than so-so
Creating a hole
As the memories race through
My tattered soul
Of better times that seem
So, so long ago

And now I wish
You were still here
For one more sunset
To have you near
Just one night would not be cold
And filled with tears
’til the first light shone

As much as it hurts
To remember our time
Spent creating stories and jokes
That only we could know
I’ll cherish each one
And hold it close
And wait for the day
When the pain would end
And I can see
You smiling at me again
Because one more sunset
Could never be enough

Will is an author and artist and producer (it’s only one indie short film but it’s on IMDB.com so it totes counts!) and founder of fetchentertainment.com and pain in the ass. He rather opinionated and has no problem sharing his thoughts on a variety of topics from the freakshow that was Election 2016 (how tf did Trump freaking win!?) to the importance of matching that belt to those shoes. He adores penguins and has a maniacal plan to use an army of them to take over the world and crown himself Emperor of All That Is (though he’d be happy with the Winter Russian Palace in what he would rename Mine!-Mine!-Mine!) but until then enjoys hiding away in his apartment and writing all sorts of tales that would worry that cokehead Sigmund Freud (really, we should believe he snorted for science!?) and drawing pictures of his creations.
