So I’m sure that some of you know that Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi, Star Trek: The Next Generation) is my first celeb crush. I mean, c’mon, did you never see an episode? She was duh gorgeous but also strong, determined, intelligent and really the heart of the Enterprise; she's the reason I got into it so quickly. She was awesome (not to take anything away from the unaging - is a vampire? - and vastly talented Patrick Stewart cause Captain Picard RULES!) and since then, I’ve enjoyed her performances in the like of Young Justice (Queen Bee) and Mass Effect (Matriarch Benezia) and Orli Elbaz (NCIS) among other amazing performances. And now *squee* she has another role, this one as Dr. Camila Chivari on the soon-to-be-a-massive hit internity! BUT the makers of this future award winner need your help!
I think we all know it ain’t cheap or easy to produce one of those slick, pretty pilots we see, especially when you have the kind of talent internity has. Not only is the incredibly talented Ms. Sirtis a part of this project, there’s alsoJoey Adams (Sam, Duress) – who, by the way is that dang adorable! – who also just happens to be this show’s creator (he’s a writer, y’all – one of my people so be nice). We also have Richard Ruccolo (Karl Bernstein, Crash & Bernstien) as Dr. Owen Sieber, Carla Jimenez (Señora Zapata, The Adventures of Puss in Boots) as Tracey Wiggens, RN and Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer, Supernatural) as Andrew.
And as if they are not enough (though I don’t know why; I was had at Marina freaking Sirtis), guess who the director is? I'll give you a clue: he could kill you dead with a stare and growl, though he'd probably prefer a bat'leth... YOu know who I'm talking about... everyone’s favorite Klingon, Michael Dorn (Lt. Worf, Star Trek: The Next Generation). I met him once. He’s real cool. And tall. Do you now understand the level of pure awesomeness here?
internity is a comedy about interns – poor, poor, souls – and their attempt to survive their imprisonment, er, I mean internships, at Portland Memorial Hospital. Hilarity is guaranteed to ensue! But before we can all bask in the glow of internity, the people making this need help. So go and donate. ALL THE MONEY so this project can be made and loved and obsessed over by ship-happy uberfans.
After raising a family and going through a messy, well-publicized divorce, Dunthorpe socialite Camila Chivari (Marina Sirtis) returned to medical school to finally pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.
Of course they have stuff forall the fine peeps who donate:
Still unsure (not that you should be), check out their video:
See how cool and awesome and hilarious that sounds? Now go and give the money and share the links and support the people making this. They're on Twitter so its super easy. Please?
So... follow, support, share and donate. It's the awesome thing to do :)
